The Florida PIRC at USF supports five parental involvement learning communities across the state of Florida. A learning community has been established within each of the five educational policy regions designated by the Florida Department of Education. (Please see map below.) A Florida PIRC at USF staff member supports and/or facilitates each learning community to bring together parent involvement professionals and parents with the shared objective of increasing effective parent engagement to improve the academic achievement of Florida’ s students. Learning community members hold of a wide range of roles in their region, district, school, or community including parent involvement specialists, parent liaisons, Title I personnel, professional development coordinators, administrators, Exceptional Student Education specialists, early childhood personnel, and parents. Anyone dedicated to enhancing parent involvement in one of Florida’s five regions is welcome to join.
