Early Childhood begins before a child is born. A young child’s journey on the road to success and fulfillment begins with the love and care that parents provide from the moment they know they are expecting their precious little one. Parents are their child’s first and most important teachers, and creating a foundation of academic success begins with key decisions from the parent. We can help with vital information on many parenting topics, such as reading with your baby or preschool child, choosing a quality early education program, and sharing in simple educational activities with your child.
To guide parents in important early childhood decisions, we offer support in the form of workshops, relevant tip sheets, newsletters, and an entire activities calendar dedicated to parent involvement.
Operating as the State Office for the international parenting program, Parents as Teachers, the FL PIRC supports parent educators in their vital work with parents of young children throughout the State of Florida.
