SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES
Provide information, training and support for families through
toll-free number, quarterly statewide newsletters, fact sheets,
tip sheets, web site, and resource packets.
INFORMATION AND IN-SERVICE TO SCHOOLS
Provide technical assistance, information, and in-service to
schools interested in enhancing family involvement.
RESOURCE LIBRARY AND DATABASE
Maintain a resource library and database including information
relevant to families and those who work with families.
MATERIALS AND TRAINING
Develop materials and training for educators and family members
to improve partnerships between homes and schools.
history
Established in 1999, the Florida Partnership for Family Involvement
in
Education (FPFIE) works to enhance family involvement in education
that
increases academic achievement. FPFIE has provided training,
information and technical assistance to over 3 million educators
and
parents of children identified as at risk of school failure.
FPFIE has
developed many products, including:

These materials are extremely popular with both
professionals and parents. For example, over 275,00 copies
of the tip
sheets have been distributed as well as 850,00 of each newspaper
tab.
